David and Priscilla's Wedding ~ (The Groomsman)

First ever photo shoot of groomsman, let alone a full blown wedding. It was seriously a blast... except, the editing part wasn't all that fun at times.  ;)  It was a great opportunity in learning how to shoot Candidly as well as Portrait style. And for you that know me, I'm just more of a nature photographer. None the less, I learned a ton and can't wait for another try!
Seriously,... to say I was nervous would be an understatement, lol I was shaking like a leaf when we started out, but God is good and things seemed to work out ok. Below are some of the Groomsman shots I took before the wedding, Praise God for good weather! enjoy!

Special thanks to; My Aunt Esther, James Staddon, Chad Paine, Libby Zellon, David and Priscilla for the opportunity.

God Bless!

The Lock in ~

Love staying up late and partying your heart out till 1:00 in the morning on Saturday nights! Well I do, so for all you night owls like me, where life really doesn't start till 7:00 in the evening  you missed out. A couple weeks ago, I was able to go with a team of young people to the Hinsdale Central high-school where 400+ 5-6th graders were having their annual "Lock in". A drug awareness program that teaches kids that they can have fun without the use of drugs. =)   It was a great witnessing opportunity! lol I don't know about you but kids that have plenty to eat and tons of games to play don't slow down till way past 1:00 in the morning. I was wooped way before they even wanted to take a break.
Helping out with this project brought back to mind the passage of scripture where Christ took a child and told the disciples to let the little children come to Him and forbid them not, for such is the Kingdom of Heaven. Children often have the faith to believe in Christ, where adults and older teenagers may not. Statistics show that if you cannot lead a child to the Lord before the age of 13, the chances of them never coming, are almost 7x greater. My prayer is that the seeds that were sown and the tracts that given, would bear fruit and in time, lead another lost soul into His Kingdom.

Talk to someone about Jesus today. It could be your last.

Three weeks of blur ~

So I decided on just updating on the the last three weeks all at once instead of trying post individually. It will save me some time.  ;) Backing up just a bit, it was a great opportunity to down to FL and be with with so many friends that we haven't seen in what feels like forever!  FL has a new special place in my heart, it was also in the high 70's while we were there.  ;)  A nice change from our northerly climate. It was great to see Jordan Webster (A fellow JTTH mate from the very first actual guys Journey). His family so graciously allowed us to stay with them during our time. We also met up with the Speed Family for a day which turned out to be a blast. here are some pics from our time there.... enjoy!  ;)

One of the most relaxing and fun filled Vacations I have taken in years, I hope to do it again sometime. I want to post again on David and Priscilla wedding. And this time, I'll show you some shots of the groomsman that I took. Also, I had an awesome opportunity to help with a Kids "lock in" this past Saturday night, that was a blast!!  :D  ....   I think I'll post on those in a couple days... I got some catch up work to do!  ;)

Be a blessing to others today!
