Chicago; typically cool, wet and very windy... but sometimes, especially at night, in the winter, everything seems to stand still in this huge city, ...and it usually happens during a heavy and soft snowfall. That's exactly what happened last night. When it snows, it dumps and we averaged about 6 inches last night. Grant it, that is not a whole lot compared to other places but considering that we already have about 2 or 3 inches it begins to add up. :) It was beautiful and quiet, cars could go no where and people were confined to there homes and offices. Unless you are the adventurous type! And all the plow trucks were on the highways trying to keep them clear. Meanwhile the snow just kept coming down, softly.
As I took a walk, it just reminded me of the verese in Isaiah 55:10,11a
"For as the rain cometh down and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it to bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater: 11 - So shall my Word be that goeth forth out of my mouth."
God Bless you and your Family this Christmas, as you celebrate the true Word and King of life!
We just returned from a great time away in Oklahoma... It's almost starting to become tradition to head down there every so often I think. ;) We had a great thanksgiving week and I hope everyone else did too!
The weather was great and after getting over a head cold I was able to get out and do some shooting... ;]
I thought I would post some pics of our time... It was really good for me to get away and just seek the Lord and spend time with my family. God has a way of bringing us all back together after a year of being what seemed like, all over the place. Now it's just a time of waiting on the Lord for the next step and trusting Him for the direction He will provide.
