So... Yesterday at 5:00pm sharp I left work and headed home. I usually stick around a little after work and answer personal emails, check my accounts and other good stuff like that but not today! I promptly got into my jeans (helps with concentration) grabbed my bow and headed down stairs for some great archery practice...! It was a blast!
30 shots a day is my goal! I want to be able to hit quarters at 40 yds by the beginning of the season this year! - Thanks Brielle for taking some great pics!
Shooting with little brothers has its benefits.... I never had to go and retrieve my arrows... hehe :)
Later on in the evening after some family time I got to thinking about an arrow, how it flys, the tip, the shaft, the fetching, all of the components that make an arrow go wear I want it to. Of course that verse came to mind about children and arrows... I'm God's child, I'm an arrow. In these times of tyranny and fear in our nation and world, my prayer is that I fly true and in the direction that God is pointing me.

I just got my Bear bow the other day! I was so excited! I took it Bass Pro the other night had it tuned down 10lbs and walked into the range...
The very first shot put it right on the money... and of course, i got this warm fuzzy feeling. ;) Cant wait till I get some extras for this bow and start practicing for real!

We can prob say that the frozen months are safely behind us and spring is just around the corner. It just seemed like yesterday that people were snowboarding, Skiing and skating... Even though I'm a big fan of winter, I love the coming of spring with the smell of fresh air invigorating breezes and inspiring sites of budding trees coming back to life.
Spring reminds me of a time to start over... after a long hush of winter stillness, life returns and new growth is formed... that's kinda how we can look at our Christian walk from time to time. After a time of hardship, relentless work or emotional drain, there's a peace that follows the storm. Then after that time of peace, quiet, resting, waiting there is a time of growth that comes with renewed life, vision, and strength.
Rest in Lord, wait on Him and He'll bring it to the bloom He desires...
